MUST KNOWS - GUYS READ THIS
These are the items you must follow to extend the life of your pool cover past 5 years of use to join customers well in their extended season.
Must know items: The following are some, but not all conditions which must be followed to maintain your warranty and extend the pool cover’s lifespan far past your warranty period.

-
Test your pool water prior to putting your cover on: PH 7.0-7.5, Chlorine/Bromine 2.0 ppm Max is safe.
-
The water jets from the pool returns must be directed away from the blanket. This water can exceed the covers maximum temperatures during the heating cycle and can carry high chemical concentrations.
-
The blanket must not be in place or exposed to a pool which is being super chlorinated.
-
The pool cover can be used with most standard rollers.
-
The cover will be difficult to use during the break in process, this is normal, and will begin to reside after a dozen or so opening/closings.
-
If using a pool roller, you may find that rolling the cover under and behind the roller will allow for easier unrolling as it leaves the leading edge curled slightly upwards, allowing for easier closing by less dipping into the pool water (when 1 person closing). The cover should roll onto the roller showing the bottom black side.
-
The cover will give resistance for 15-20 cycles. During this time, creases are formed as it "learns" the pool roller. After the break in period, you will notice much improvement, surpassing plastic bubble covers.
-
Blankets normally reduce chemical dissipation - adjust chemicals accordingly.
-
Test more frequently the first 21 days to learn your new routine, you will use less, and need to do less.
-
The blanket is intended for off hours use, and removing it daily allows the pool to breathe. Chlorine concentration increases under the blanket. (Bromine, Chlorine, and Salt Pools)
-
The cover is rigid enough to typically be closed with one person on a 20'x40' pool.
-
It is similar in weight to a standard plastic pool cover. If your roller drags the cover now, look at a new roller. Choose one that is capable of 25% more width then you pool as a minimum to allow better support
-
Using a blanket on a pool exceeding 91°F can will void warranty, if there are any failures.
-
For prolonged storage wash the blanket with mild soap and clean water, dry and put away for storage.
-
Maintaining above freezing temperature for storage for off season is recommended. Some customer remove, fold and put into garage.
-
Watch for any loose fibres along the edges if abrasion occurs from coping near pool roller. Cut them, not burn, to clean up.
-
Due to solar covers typically having a short life span, more of these cumbersome items are cut up and thrown into garbage bins and into the landfills, as new ones are purchased and cut to fit. Never mind plastic straws, that are now paper straws, wrapped in plastic!
-
Its worth the investment. Its lest time spent cleaning, filling, dosing, and much easier to close. Kids can open and close it, its light and floats effortlessly across the surface.
-
Your pool will be warmer, earlier, and for longer, with a lower utility bill. Having your pump run less, due to less debris, and clean less. Its a innovative solution to more relax time over your pool life.
-
Reduces UV degradation on liner pools potentially extending liner life, by only allowing heat to penetrate the water, not UV.
-
Less bacteria growth has been shown when using this cover with proper chemical treatment and maintenance.
-
You can say "I told you so" because all of this is true!
